This was the first class I have taken for community health in nursing school. I did not find it very useful, the book was too wordy, you had to read multiple pages to understand the main point. I found myself having to constantly google the topics to really understand what it was saying. I would say it is a good book if you have had some sort of introduction to this topic before, but as someone who is new to this topic the book did not help condense the information to a basic level of understanding. Furthermore, their online resources for students do not have anything helpful, it is just links to the chapter objectives, no practice questions, no rationales, no summaries, not much help. You are better off googling the topics and reading off wikipedia, it was explained better, very disappointing book.
Great book for a nursing class that I was taking! I love that I was able to rent this book and pay way less than if I bought it! It is easy to read and comprehend. Sending it back is easy as well, and completely free. I just saved the box that it came in, printed out the return label, taped it all up, and sent it on its way!
The book just doesn't make sense. The writing is incoherent and way more wordy than necessary. You have to sift through mountains of unnecessary and unrelated examples just to get one or two important concepts out of every page. I just started the semester and can already tell its going to suck since this is the only resource my instructor is using. Definitely wasted $40 that I couldve spent on NCLEX study materials or something
Fast shipping and as described, some use and highlighting and marks in pages. Book is a rental but already have assignments that require reading from several chapters.
I ordered the Community textbook for my nursing class and it arrived the next day. Super convenient and easy to return at the end of the semester.
Book arrived today in very poor shape...would not classify this as “good conditionâ€.
I thank the Lord Jesus, that nursing school is over. I hated taking this class! And the book was even worse!!!
We used this in my Community Nursing class. I don't like it. Not much color in the book and many of the charts don't help to simplify the information.
