About the Author
Hannah Sturrock has always loved cross stitch. She initially ignored the desire to stitch all day and studied law instead. Finding that the barrister’s wig didn't sit very comfortably, she started running charity events and ended up as Manager of Christmas at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. No other job title was ever going to match that so after having two children, Wilfred and Olive (or Bobo as she is fondly known), she listened again to the call of cross stitch. She started designing her own contemporary patterns and in 2013, her company Bobo Stitch was born. Hannah is now the proud purveyor of cross stitch kits and a joyous embracer of the modern craft revolution. She lives in southwest London, UK, with her husband, children, and a ridiculously large stash of embroidery floss.

Love this book. Really cute projects. I haven't had a chance to start it yet. Finishing another project but I can hardly wait. I want to start the Bird first.
Just what I have been waiting for-I used to love cross stitch but I fell out of love with the designs so stopped for a while. A friend recommended this to me and it has totally reignited my passion! Stylish, up to date designs with clever twists like glow in the dark thread. Really clear patterns (printed nice and large so you can stitch straight from the book) and good instructions too which was helpful where I felt a bit rusty. Most of the designs aren't complicated so you can just relax and stitch something pretty. Would definitely recommend.

Just fine
As an experienced stitcher, I was disappointed by the basic designs. There are only two patterns I would consider stitching. The best design in the whole book is the cover design. In the case of this book, you CAN'T tell a book by its cover!
I bought this book, in the UK, for my wife who was looking for stylish and unusual cross stitch designs, not the cutesy or cartoons that she might usually expect - and she loves it - as does her whole sewing group! She is about to start making the glow in the dark skull patch t-shirt and might even have a go at doing the cross stitch on a chair seat - she says she is happy to have lots of new ways to use her favourite craft.
As a relatively new stitcher I have to say I love this book! I have already completed the cover design on a cushion to brighten up my sofa, and the glow-in-the dark skull for my son's room. Really like the contemporary feel of the designs and am looking forward to doing more - especially for the little ones as I am currently working on their bedrooms. Would recommend!
